Poland knows they will never be attacked from Belarus or Russia. Not while they are NATO
Poland is taking steps to strengthen its border defenses with Belarus following the Wagner mercenary mutiny in Russia and the relocation of the group’s leader, Yevgeny Prigozhin, to Minsk. The Polish government has announced plans to deploy an additional 500 police officers from elite counterterrorism and riot control units to the border in response to concerns about the presence of Wagner bases in Belarus. This move comes after Ukraine announced its decision to reinforce its military positions along the northern border.
Amid apparent fears about Wagner getting a base in Belarus, Poland is bolstering border defenses w/ another 500 cops, says the interior minister. (There are already 5k border guards & 2k soldiers.) Kevin Rothrock
On Saturday, 187 individuals attempted to illegally cross from Belarus into Poland, according to the Polish Border Guard. The Polish government accuses Belarus of attempting to create a migrant crisis by pushing people from Africa and the Middle East across the border into Poland. However, Belarus denies these allegations.

Currently, there are 5,000 security guards and 2,000 soldiers stationed at the Polish border with Belarus. They will soon be joined by the newly deployed 500 police officers from specialized units. Jarosław Kaczynski, the leader of the Law and Justice party, warned of the potential implications of Wagner fighters in Belarus, stating that it could signify “a new phase of hybrid warfare, a phase much more difficult than the one we have dealt with so far.”
Although there is no confirmation of a large-scale movement of Wagner fighters into Belarus, Western media reports have cited satellite images suggesting the presence of new Wagner encampments on Belarusian soil. Satellite imagery reveals activity at a disused military base near the town of Asipovichy, approximately 64 miles from Minsk. Russian media has previously mentioned this area as a possible location for Wagner fighters. BBC Verify has identified over 300 recently erected tent-like structures at the site, which were not visible in satellite images from June 15. The most recent high-resolution image from June 30 shows extensive construction work taking place at the base.
Poland is building up defenses in case the Russians start a war. The Russians have repeatedly threatened Poland. Poland is a NATO member. Russia would be insane to try it. Russia vs 31 NATO allies + Sweden would be a big mistake – Corby Zone

Polish officials have raised concerns that there could be around 8,000 Wagner fighters currently in Belarus. As a result, Poland intends to further fortify its border with Belarus, taking into account the ongoing NATO troop build-up along the eastern flank of the alliance, including countries like Lithuania.

The deployment of additional police officers and the reinforcement of fortifications aim to address potential security threats and prevent unauthorized border crossings. As the situation develops, Poland remains vigilant while neighboring countries and NATO allies closely monitor the ongoing developments along the eastern flank.
