LinkedIn, a company with known financial ties to Reid Hoffman, its founder who was previously implicated in funding a deceptive campaign against GOP candidate Roy Moore and providing support for a lawsuit against Donald Trump initiated by E. Jean Carrol, has made the decision to suspend the account of GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. This decision comes as a consequence of Ramaswamy’s express views on climate policy and criticisms of President Biden’s handling of US-China relations, all of which Ramaswamy insists are based on factual premises.
Big Tech election interference has begun: @LinkedIn locked my account & censored me this week for posting videos where I expressed fact-based views as a presidential candidate about climate policy and Biden’s relationships with China. They said it violated their policies relating… pic.twitter.com/ND2dFVnGAg

Ramaswamy brought attention to this incident through a tweet, declaring, “The interference of Big Tech in the election process has commenced,” sharing the correspondence he received from LinkedIn regarding their decision to suspend his account. Specifically, it was his third alleged violation, where he claimed that the ‘climate agenda’ was a fallacy and emphasized the necessity of fossil fuels for societal prosperity, that led to this punitive action.
Ramaswamy further expressed his concerns through an additional tweet, wherein he discussed a past incident in which individuals who opposed closing schools due to the Covid-19 pandemic were similarly censored. He drew a parallel between that episode and his current situation, criticizing the bias of tech companies and asserting that his views were suppressed not because they were untruthful, but rather because they held validity.
Two years ago, Big Tech censored people who argued that we shouldn’t close schools for Covid. Now they’re censoring presidential candidates for arguing that fossil fuels are required for prosperity. They didn’t censor me because it’s false. They censored me because it’s true… https://t.co/TYElXRdVLZ

He continued, stating, “It is indeed striking that the expression of fact-based opinions on topics such as climate policy and matters related to China, even when including fair criticism of President Biden, can result in such overt censorship by a social media company owned by Microsoft.”
Ramaswamy emphasized his disappointment with what he perceives as a collusion between Big Tech companies and political left-wing interests, a collaboration he believes serves to accomplish objectives neither party could achieve independently. He added, “This is the epitome of the current predicament in America.”
It’s no mystery why LinkedIn censored me for criticizing China’s influence over Biden & climate change policies. This is staggering. https://t.co/WW32P7XSOQ

He concluded his comments with a self-reflexive statement, recalling his initial critique of government leveraging tech companies to silence narratives that the government itself could not directly suppress. He expressed a sense of irony at being censored by these same tech companies for his criticisms of government actions he views as pervasive and manipulative.
Show up on college campuses. The inner city. Left wing media. As candidates we need to go where they tell us *not* to go. That’s the only way we revive open debate, free speech: the very ideals this nation was founded upon. pic.twitter.com/jy22L2ak7D
