    Covid 2.0 – HELL NO! Unveiling Disparities: Gender, Age, and Dose-Dependent Effects in COVID-19 Vaccine Side Effects


    New research from Japan has shed light on potential disparities in the side effects of COVID-19 vaccinations, with a particular focus on gender and age. The study, published in November in Scientific Reports, delves into the experiences of 272 hospital employees who received the Pfizer vaccine as a second dose between January and June 2022.

    The participants, all without a prior history of COVID-19 infection, underwent thorough examination and diagnosis by hospital doctors. The findings revealed a noteworthy trend – higher frequencies of COVID-19 vaccine-related side effects and prolonged recovery periods among females and younger adults compared to their male and elderly counterparts.

    Crucially, the study identified distinct side effects associated with different vaccine doses. Individuals who opted for a third dose, as opposed to the standard two, displayed more severe and enduring side effects. Axillary pain, for instance, was more prevalent in those who received three doses, while headaches and joint pain tended to linger longer after the third dose compared to the earlier ones.

    The authors of the study linked symptoms after the second vaccine dose to an allergic response, while headaches and joint pains after the third dose were attributed to inflammation and immune dysregulation.

    This Japanese study aligns with reports from health practitioners worldwide, who have observed similar trends in patients reporting post-vaccination symptoms. Dr. Keith Berkowitz, an internist with extensive experience in treating long COVID and post-vaccine patients, emphasized the cumulative effect of additional vaccine doses, leading to more pronounced symptoms.

Additionally, a JAMA Network Open study revealed that females tended to report more adverse effects from Moderna and Pfizer vaccinations, possibly due to heightened antibody production and hormonal influences.

    The study also considered the impact of age on vaccine reactions, noting that younger individuals often exhibited stronger immune responses. It’s crucial to recognize that COVID-19 mRNA vaccines prompt the body to produce spike proteins, which, in turn, can lead to blood vessel damage, clotting, inflammation, and autoimmunity.

    Dr. Berkowitz emphasized that greater symptom severity might indicate a more reactive immune response, aimed at combating the spike proteins. However, this heightened immune activity could impede recovery as the body directs resources toward fighting the infection rather than resting and recuperating.

    Nurse practitioner Scott Marsland noted a shift in his patient population, observing an increase in male patients and individuals who had received multiple vaccinations and boosters. Many of these patients, referred by friends and family concerned about vaccine side effects, tend to be more skeptical and distrusting due to a lack of awareness about COVID-19 vaccine injuries.
