Is China preparing an attack on America?
Federal officials are expressing serious reservations regarding the large-scale land purchases close to Travis Air Force Base, made by a company identified as Flannery Associates LLC. The acquired land, approximately 55,000 acres of dry farmland located in Solano County, encompasses a significant portion of the area surrounding one of the key military bases in the western United States.
While Communist China is: 1. Conducting cyber espionage attacks on U.S. executive agencies, 2. Operating an intelligence collection facility in our backyard, and 3. Buying up U.S. agricultural land next to sensitive military installations, Joe Biden continues to pander to Communist China by sending John Kerry to Beijing and engaging in futile discussions about climate change with the world’s biggest polluter. Unacceptable. – Elise Stefanik
The unusual property purchases, which commenced in 2018 and have persisted through to 2023, amount to an extraordinary sum of nearly $800 million, thereby prompting questions about the motive behind these acquisitions and their potential implications on national security.
The Wall Street Journal has reported that, in the span of five years, the company has emerged as the most prominent landowner in the county, an unexpected development that has attracted the attention of the federal government and prompted an ongoing investigation.

These noteworthy land acquisitions follow concerns raised by lawmakers in the previous year when a Chinese company acquired 300 acres of farmland in the vicinity of a US Air Force base in North Dakota, which houses sensitive drone technology.
Lack of Federal Transparency Apparent in Land Purchases Near Air Force Base, Officials Assert
In light of the large-scale land acquisitions by Flannery Associates, the Department of Agriculture has sought to understand the company’s ownership structure and has requested relevant information, as reported by The Wall Street Journal.
“Let me help them out— It’s China. Under Biden we apparently can’t find out who is buying land near our military bases OR who does Coke in the White House.” – Jan Iannece
The company has formally responded to the Agriculture Department’s request, with the details of the response being shared with The Post by Richard Melnyk, a legal representative of Flannery.
Mitch Mashburn, the county supervisor, has reported that the company has not engaged local officials in discussions about their intentions for the land, nor have they disclosed their plans publicly.
“Much of the land they are purchasing is dry farmland,” said Mashburn. “It’s difficult to envision how such land could generate sufficient profit to justify an investment approaching a billion dollars.”
A spokesperson from the air force base confirmed that the military is cognizant of the ongoing land acquisitions in close proximity to the base, and they are actively implementing strategies within their organization, and in conjunction with other agencies, to address the situation effectively.
